EUt+ European Research Office (ERO)

The ERO at the EUt+ Coordination Center at CUT, serves as the central contact point for CUT researchers on all research-related matters within the EUt+ Alliance. It works in close cooperation with the EROs across EUt+ to connect researchers, and provide comprehensive strategic, and forward-looking research support, fostering collaboration, enhancing research capacity, and promoting excellence. The Office’s main functions include:

Developing and maintaining research profiles for CUT researchers to enhance visibility and foster collaboration opportunities,

Identifying open funding calls that align with CUT researchers’ profiles and informing them,

Supporting researchers in finding suitable partners within the EUt+ Alliance to foster collaboration,

Supporting existing EUt+ Research Groups / Institutes and contributing to the creation of new ones,

Assisting with the non-academic sections of research proposals,

Mapping research activities across the Alliance, etc.

Through these activities, the ERO strengthens CUT’s research engagement within the EUt+ ecosystem and contributes to fostering a more connected, innovative, and competitive European Research Area.

CUT Research Profiles

One of the main tasks of the European Research Office (ERO) at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) is to support the creation and continuous updating of the research profiles of the university’s researchers. These profiles offer a clear and structured overview of each researcher’s scientific expertise, research projects, publications, and areas of interest. By maintaining and enhancing these profiles, the ERO helps increase the visibility of CUT’s research community within the EUt+ Alliance.

Furthermore, the research profiles play a key role in the strategic planning of the EUt+ Coordination Center at CUT. They enable the ERO to match researchers with relevant funding opportunities, connect them with suitable partners across the EUt+ network, and support the establishment of new Research Groups or Institutes, in line with emerging priorities and collaborative potential.

Maintaining updated research profiles contributes directly to the development of a more connected, synergistic, and competitive EUt+ research framework. It also facilitates the strategic alignment of individual expertise and institutional strengths with the shared research goals of the EUt+ Alliance—fostering deeper collaboration, joint project development, and a unified approach to addressing complex research challenges.
